As a total, the intention is for the new addition is to add a valuable experience of architecture within the park, as the Museum gets an updated interface, becoming a more functional place for people to meet.

Idag återlämnade Statens fastighetsverk nyckeln till sin hyresgäst och bjöd samtidigt pressen på en förhandstitt. För Skissernas Museum och Statens fastighetsverk har det varit viktigt att museet, genom om- och tillbyggnaden, får en tydligare plats i staden. Ett av skälen till att Elding Oscarson korades till vinnare var att de i sitt förslag på ett smakfullt sätt förenade behovet av samspel med befintliga byggnader och behovet av nyskapande. – Nya Skissernas Museum är både en upplevelse och en funktion. Om- och tillbyggnaden har löst museets behov men byggnaden som den nu är utformad är också en upplevelse i sig, säger Jonas Elding, arkitekt Elding Oscarson.
