After many conversations with local officials and permitting authorities, we have come to the realization that no large gathering events can occur in The Downieville Classic ride.

The 29-mile course follows a rugged “Gold Rush” era route from the mountain town of Sierra City (elevation 4,100′), to the crest of the Sierra Nevada (elevation 7,100′), and down 5,200 vertical feet into downtown Downieville. The Downieville Classic wouldn't exist without all the hard work from this crew. Sunday morning came quicker and heavier than anyone hoped for. After clearing our throats of the soreness from Saturday's cheers and howls, we headed back to the expo for the final day.
